Nexon are bastards. ¬_¬

Fri May 23, 2008, 5:15 PM
Alright, I wanted to indulge myself by playing some Maple Story (which looks like they cribbed a lot from Sonic the Hedgehog - well that's just my view). I've heard the name tossed around this website now and then. I eventually managed to download the damn thing (after waiting an hour or so), and realized that they 'don't do' a server for the UK. I notified Nexon and they replied with this....
______

" Greetings,

Thank you for contacting Nexon America's Customer Support team.

We are sorry to hear you're not able to log in to the Global MapleStory servers. We license out MapleStory to licensees in South Korea, China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Europe.

Because we must protect our licensees' interests, we must block users from those licensed regions from playing on Global MapleStory servers. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Nexon "

The Black Book

Tue Apr 22, 2008, 4:56 AM
Alright, I change my mind a lot, but I had to get rid of the Obsessional Behavior project. It was too complex, and frankly, doing an animation or drawings of people washing their hands is quite boring. The idea itself sounds good, but too wide.

The Black Book is being portrayed through the Four and Twenty Blackbirds nursery rhyme, and done with a slight dark edge. Originally the rhyme was a secret coded message for pirates (e.g. Black Beard) to recruit new members. For example the 'sixpence' is how much they earn, the King symbolizes Black Beard, the Queen is one of his old ships, the Garden is a part of the Caribbean sea where pirates would go for easy prey, and the Maid would be their 'victims'. Eh. That's all I can remember at the moment, but seriously go and have a look at the symbolisms. I might update soon and scan in more of this project. Anyway, hope you like it!

Obsessional Behavior?

Thu Mar 13, 2008, 5:02 AM
Well now, it's been a wee bit of time since I last updated. Like the title suggests, I want to know people's personal and secret obsessional habits. I was thinking of doing 'collections', as I counted out the other day how many damn train tickets I've collected over last year's and this year and..ooohhh good Lordy, I have over 50! I have an idea that I might turn it into something else, or create an animation via them moving around the place but..eh.. *shrugs*

Anyway, if you could tell me any of your habits it would be much appreciated for ideas.

Thanks m'dears!

The Little Lying Leopard That Got It Spots

Fri Jan 4, 2008, 1:57 PM
This is my strange title that I'm working with for my next project. I've finally done the Beanland series, and might photograph them later onto here.

HOWEVER

No time for that cos....

You guys have to give me an idea how you'd react to that title. What sort of images flow through your mind? Just generally think about how a Leopard would recieve their very first spots. Quoting my tutor... "...this may be factual, interesting, humorous or abstract".

I'm really struggling at the moment. The best I could produce was an albino snow leopard getting covered in soot. That and er.... making a leopard entirely out of model's eyes. >_<

Psycho painting...

Thu Jan 18, 2007, 2:11 PM
Gah, I'll eventually show you guys the new painting that I've been working on for my A Levels. I was inspired by Kandinsky's fauvist period, thinking, "OOooo...perty swirly colours, I could do that". I was so very, very, wrong.

I now hate the guy and his insane colours. Picture a calm countryside, and then multi tie-dye that in your head. Everytime I look at the damn thing it gives me a headache just looking at it. Gives me the feeling that some psychotic killer clown is about to rip out of it and stab me in the face. Yeh, this is what it's done to me, hehe. It's almost finished, but there's one part that just won't fix.

I love it when you get to scream at your own creations. It's so fun, lol. When I get the chance to download it, I'll put it up here.

The only thing right now that I want to do, is stick to reality. No more bloody fauvist colours. I love it, but at the same time I just wanna run away. Maybe I should go back to the Impressionists - mmm...Turner. ;D Now he was a hottie. :P
